The Kodak 6.3 model 21 is one of the cameras that have been
produced in France at the end of the second world war.
At this time, the french government wanted to facilitate the relaunch of
the national mechanical and optical industries, implemented severe
restriction on importation quotas. The implementation of assembly
factories directly in France allowed Kodak Inc. to bypass these
protectionist measures. The cameras were fabricated in France but with
spare parts coming from USA.
The Kodak 6.3 Model 21 is equipped of a
lens Angénieux f:6,3 105 mm (but some models had a lens Berthiot same
aperture and focal).
The shutter is a Atos 1 allowing the speeds of
1/25s, 1/50s, 1/100s, 1/150s and
pause B.
Two versions of this camera exist, one is
equipped with a second stand allowing to keep the camera horizontal.
Thisis not the case of the camera of my collection. Another variant of
this model with a different film advance wheel.
