From 1926
to 1930, the company Zeiss Ikon still commercialize under its mark
former models of cameras issued from the different companies which
merged to create Zeis Ikon (Contessa-Nettel,
Ernemann, Goerz and Ica). Unfortunately, the range of offered cameras is
unrational, some models are each other facing an internal competition.
In
1930, the management of Zeiss Ikon decides to revisit the range of
cameras and proposes the Ikonta series, a new range of cameras, more
cohesive.
The model aside is
a IKonta C 520/2 made in 1930. It is equipped with a shutter
Derval (B, T, 1/25s, 1/50s, 1/100s). The lens is a Novar Anagstigmat
1:6,3 f=105 mm. The focusing was made by rotating the lens.
It was equipped with a rotating viewfinder, attached onto the shutter, as
well as a folding viewfinder located on the left of the camera body.
It use a film format 120, giving negative film of a
6 x 9 cm format. This camera was sold with a flexible shutter release
stored in the front door of the camera.
The series IKonta had numerous and successive versions and was still
produced in 1956.
