The Box Spring is a small camera
produced just after the 2° world war by the company Tiranty, using a
license from Coronet.
In fact, it is a variant
of the famous Bobox made by Coronet; it is reusing the decorating
circular plate of this last one.
Very simple, it is
equiped with two reflex viewfinders, a meniscus lens and a guillotine
shutter.
A tab located on the top
of the camera selects the appropriate speed for snapshot : Pause or
Instantaneous.
The body of the camera is
made of paperwork covered with fake black leather. A handle is fixed on
the top. The format used is 6 x 9 cm on 120 rollfilm.
Before the war, the company Tiranty imported a
lot of foreign cameras, especially models from Leica, Peruzt and Coronet.
